About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform defined research and laboratory tests and experiments according to prescribed protocols and assigned schedules
  • Set up experiments as prescribed by a principal investigator
  • Participate in laboratory maintenance, including sterilization and cleaning of equipment, ordering supplies, inventory, and media preparation
  • Maintain records, files, and logs in laboratory notebooks and computer databases
  • Compile study data and results for publications, grants, and seminar presentations
  • Perform related responsibilities as required by the principal investigator

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
  • Experience with mouse handling, colony management, genotyping, tissue collection, mammalian cell culture, and general molecular biology techniques is preferred
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness and ability to work with, take precautions against, and/or be immunized against potentially hazardous agents
