About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with department leaders to support practices at the Grady Health System
  • Develop budgets for physician practices in partnership with the finance manager
  • Provide physician compensation support
  • Procure and dispose of capital equipment
  • Manage space utilization in clinical spaces
  • Supervise staff
  • Plan, coordinate, and remain accountable for major departmental divisions/sub-unit administrative and clinical activities
  • Manage grants and contracts
  • Develop and plan total budgets of $4 million or greater
  • Perform financial analysis
  • Oversee data processing operations
  • Manage human resources for a division or department sub-unit with teaching, research, and clinical service responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Division or Unit Director and indirectly to the Department Administrator and Chair
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related science field and five years of professional business or management experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred
  • Residency in the state of Georgia required
  • Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs
