About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, coordinate, and be accountable for major departmental divisions/sub-units' administrative and clinical activities
- Manage grants and contracts
- Develop and plan budgets totaling $4 million or greater
- Perform financial analysis
- Oversee data processing operations
- Manage human resources for a division or department sub-unit with teaching, research, and clinical service responsibilities
- Partner with department leaders to support practices at the Grady Health System
- Support physician compensation
- Procure and dispose of capital equipment
- Manage clinical space utilization
- Supervise staff
- Report directly to the Division or Unit Director and indirectly to the Department Administrator and Chair
- Perform other assigned responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related science field and five years of professional business or management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Must reside in the state of Georgia
- Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs
- Experience in a healthcare environment with finance and/or physician practice management responsibilities
