About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct the strategic planning, development, and implementation of the Georgia Breastfeeding Medicine Program
  • Plan, administer, and monitor program budgets
  • Develop short- and long-term goals and objectives with the physician director
  • Oversee related special projects within CHOA/Emory School of Medicine
  • Represent the program in national and international settings as needed
  • Manage solicitation of funding from foundation, corporate, individual, and governmental donors as needed
  • Collaborate with and seek support from representatives of other organizations
  • Establish and administer policies and procedures
  • Supervise staff
  • Perform related responsibilities as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to program work
  • Seven years of related experience
  • Two years of experience at a management level
  • Equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be accepted
  • Preferred: experience developing statewide or regional lactation programs
  • Preferred: experience in strategic planning, quality improvement, and lactation program evaluation in Georgia or the Southeast
  • Preferred: demonstrated excellence in health professional education and curriculum development in breastfeeding/human lactation
