About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist Emory photographers and media professionals with photo and video shoots, events, portraits, and other assignments
- Capture photographs and video content for Emory projects, events, social media, and communications needs
- Set up, organize, and maintain photography and video equipment
- Edit and organize photographs using Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop
- Edit video footage and create polished video content using Adobe Premiere Pro or similar tools
- Assist with basic video production, including organizing footage, selecting clips, adding music or graphics, and preparing videos for digital platforms
- Select, prepare, and upload photo and video assets to Emory’s digital asset management system
- Add and update photo and video metadata, including captions, keywords, dates, and locations
- Help maintain an organized and searchable photo and video library
- Support other photography, videography, video editing, and digital media projects as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current Emory University student
- Interest and experience in photography, videography, or multimedia production
- Basic knowledge of digital cameras, photography, and video production
- Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro or similar tools is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, reliable, creative, and willing to learn
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Portfolio submission required
- Position tasks are generally required to be performed in person at an Emory University location
