About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company's products, target markets, customer needs, and value proposition
  • Lead integrated marketing tactics across print publications, brochures, advertisements, websites, social media, and email
  • Project manage design, printing, distribution, list acquisition, and management
  • Identify industry associations aligned with beef and dairy industries and Genus ABS’ go-to-market strategies
  • Manage relationships with industry press and associations, subscriptions, events, list acquisition, and advertising opportunities
  • Write articles for association newsletters and publications
  • Develop advertising plans, messaging, and artwork; track campaign success and manage budgets
  • Maintain metrics across industry association outreach and partnership activities
  • Manage trade show schedules, calendars, strategies, staffing, equipment, materials, documentation, contracts, correspondence, and deadlines
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve lead-generation goals
  • Maintain trade show equipment storage, process payments, monitor expenses, prepare reports, evaluate ROI, and recommend improvements
  • Represent Genus ABS at conferences and trade shows
  • Assist with campaign strategy, development, and tracking
  • Maintain a project management system and track deadlines, execution, and results
  • Support sales team engagement and communications, including webinars, newsletters, and regional marketing outreach
  • Assist with annual calendar development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related discipline preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience required
  • Agriculture industry experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and potentially internationally
  • Understanding and proven success in utilising digital marketing and automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, WordPress, social media management platforms)
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing automation, campaign management, lead generation, direct marketing, database marketing, and/or Internet marketing
  • Solid understanding of marketing concepts including lead management processes, customer lifecycle, lead nurturing, and marketing automation systems
  • Ability to track trends to identify innovative ways to evolve strategy, grow audiences, and drive conversions
  • Strategic mindset that considers both short-term and long-term ROI
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to test, measure, optimise, identify trends, and derive actionable insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Above-average interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to effectively present information to management and stakeholders
  • Experience negotiating contracts and sponsorships
  • Experience preparing budgets and basic accounting knowledge
  • Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills
