About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with developing marketing content for social media, email campaigns, websites, presentations, newsletters, advertisements, and other communication channels
  • Draft and edit copy communicating Crystal Group’s products, capabilities, culture, and employee-ownership story
  • Support planning, scheduling, and publishing organic social media content
  • Help maintain and update website content, product information, employee stories, and digital resources
  • Assist with photography, video, and visual-content projects highlighting products, employees, events, and culture
  • Support employer-branding initiatives to attract prospective employees and interns
  • Assist with sales and marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, product sheets, case studies, and promotional items
  • Conduct research on customers, competitors, industry trends, target markets, and potential business opportunities
  • Monitor competitor websites, press releases, social media, advertising, and trade-show activity
  • Summarize research findings and help identify trends, audience needs, and marketing opportunities
  • Support planning and execution of trade shows, customer events, career fairs, community events, and internal activities
  • Assist with event logistics, promotional materials, registrations, communications, and post-event follow-up
  • Maintain marketing calendars, project plans, contact lists, digital assets, and campaign documentation
  • Enter and maintain accurate information in marketing, customer relationship management, and project-management systems
  • Track marketing activity and assist with reporting on campaign results, website traffic, social media engagement, event performance, and other metrics
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, People & Culture, Program Management, and other teams
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns, content, events, and brand awareness
  • Perform other duties and marketing projects as assigned
  • Report to the Director of Marketing & Strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a U.S. person, defined as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or individual granted protected-person status
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business, graphic design, or a related field
  • Junior or senior standing at the time of the internship
  • Ability to work full-time and on-site for the duration of the internship
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to write clear, engaging content for different audiences and communication channels
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to summarize information and identify relevant trends
  • Creative mindset and willingness to contribute new ideas
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, adjust priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing practices
  • Willingness to learn new marketing tools, software, and technology
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Previous marketing, communications, social media, event-planning, or business-related experience preferred
  • Experience creating written, visual, video, or social media content preferred
  • Familiarity with graphic-design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva preferred
  • Exposure to website content management, email marketing, customer relationship management, or marketing-automation systems preferred
  • Experience supporting student organizations, campus events, volunteer initiatives, or employer-branding activities preferred
  • Interest in technology, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or business-to-business marketing preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during events and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Successful completion of a background check, physical assessment, and drug screen required as a condition of employment
