About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Address contractual matters relating to competitive and sole-source procurement, including drafting, coordinating and releasing solicitations, evaluating and analyzing bids, discussing with bidders, and awarding contracts according to procurement procedures
  • Coordinate and liaise with contractors to ensure compliance and timely performance of contract tasks
  • Perform contract administration tasks, including processing changes and amendments
  • Review business cases and determine appropriate procurement routes, such as open market or collaborative framework
  • Investigate, resolve or escalate procurement-related issues and problems
  • Implement supplier service improvement actions and programmes
  • Support local internal customers with procurement-related issues
  • Provide high-quality and timely contributions to ACQ and NCI Agency reporting
  • Keep the line manager informed of problems and concerns
  • Perform other required duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience, or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience
  • Knowledge of monitoring and maintaining all required financial records for compliance and audit to all agreed requirements
  • Knowledge of appropriate procurement methods
  • Experience with high value, high volume framework type contracts for services
  • NATO Procurement Knowledge and experience is desirable
  • Experience working in the public sector is desirable
  • Prior experience working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements is desirable
  • Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization is desirable
  • Most of the work of the NCI Agency is conducted in English
