About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support for end-user compute-based systems across the Encova enterprise
  • Install, configure, and maintain associate-facing systems and solutions
  • Provide technical support for local and remote teams and project teams
  • Serve as VMware platform co-product engineer for the virtual desktop environment
  • Execute tasks and project phases and support client-based applications
  • Ensure deployment standards are met according to solution and project scope documentation
  • Participate in knowledge transfer and cross-training
  • Perform technical systems analysis and design
  • Provide consulting support on technical topics
  • Participate in activities resolving business application and technical problems
  • Provide feedback on the impact of company decisions and new project charters on systems
  • Project software and hardware requirements and budgets and review contracts and associated assets
  • Process Request, Incident, and Problem tickets
  • Support integrations designed with business stakeholders and product vendors
  • Implement and maintain tools, technologies, and processes to improve software and software delivery
  • Complete project-related tasks and provide status updates
  • Adhere to IT principles including High Availability, Least Privilege, and Customer Service
  • Monitor technology trends and compliance regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of IT experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in computer information systems or engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in deployment and implementation project team procedures
  • IT engineering understanding, including operating systems, workstations, servers, virtualization, cloud technologies (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)
  • Experience designing, testing, and deploying enterprise applications for production and other environments
  • Experience with computer hardware, Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft O365 suite, FSLogix, and common end-user software
  • Effective customer service skills, including active listening, conflict resolution, decision making, and negotiation
  • Effective verbal, phone, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform physical tasks related to moving and installing technology equipment
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Basic technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Industry and vendor certifications a plus
  • Must reside within the greater Charleston area
  • Must work days in the office each week
  • Ability to work in one of Encova’s eligible U.S. states
