About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create new intake and troubleshoot issues
  • Cover on-call and handle basic user issues
  • Support IAM, specifically around the client’s SSO platform
  • Independently support and handle production issues
  • Provide production support on a rotational basis
  • Manage day-to-day intakes and incidents
  • Improve certificate management
  • Improve logging and monitoring and develop potential dashboards
  • Expand the PingOne Protect application and work with security to tune triggers and understand threats
  • Initiate PingCentral automation and provide customer self-service
  • Work with QA to create automated test scripts
  • Resolve user issues involving AD, networking, and DevOps, including lockouts, rogue/phantom errors, and login consistency
  • Handle incidents and new intake requests
  • Set up and reset MFA
  • Partner with the Service Desk Engineering team
  • Expand MFA for applications
  • Support user MFA campaigns, password resets, and related capabilities
  • Perform platform upgrades
  • Streamline federated trust between Ping and Entra
  • Enable SSO for international applications
  • Leverage DaVinci to enhance customized self-service MFA and password-reset flows
  • Strengthen resiliency and infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5-7 years hands on experience
  • Familiar with the Ping Identity Software suite (PingOne, PingProtect, PingFed)
  • Expert Proficiency in PingFederate
  • Understanding of legacy Java-based custom adapters using Java/J2EE PingFed Components and flow
  • Experience with complex integrations, custom PCVs, and data stores
  • Good proficiency in PingOne, PingOne SSO, DaVinci, and PingOne MFA
  • M365 SSO Integration and knowledge of EntraID for SSO integrations
  • Ability to manage on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments
  • Experience with Google and IaaC, including GKE, Terraform, Helm charts, Git, Jenkins, and containerization
  • Scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, etc.
  • Migration experience from PingFederate to PingOne
  • Familiarity with Oracle Authorization (OIM, OAG) and Entra is a plus
  • Ability to participate in internal and external meetings via video calls, as necessary
  • Ability to work onsite at corporate or client offices, as necessary
  • Ability to remain stationary at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead, as necessary
  • Hand-eye coordination to operate computers and office equipment
  • Close vision, tolerance of fluorescent lighting, and ability to adjust focus
  • For applicable business travel/event roles, ability to lift 25 lbs
  • For applicable business travel/event roles, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
