Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete an 18-to-24-month trainee program beginning in late Spring/early Summer 2026
  • Work closely with experienced actuaries to gain knowledge of business units and pricing philosophy
  • Participate in on-the-job learning, workplace mentoring, and directed self-study
  • Work directly on reinsurance projects
  • Build relationships and identify underwriting and customer needs
  • Receive training on deals across various lines of business
  • Interact with actuaries and underwriters
  • Gain specialized exposure to a particular line of business and understand products and portfolio evaluation metrics
  • Pursue professional designation courses and continuing education
  • Participate in professional development training aligned with the business unit

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM major (e.g., Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Engineering, etc.) and strong academic performance
  • Graduation date between May 2026 and May 2027
  • Genuine interest in developing a career in the (re)insurance industry
  • Successfully passed and/or be sitting for at least one actuarial exam
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly through written and verbal communication
  • Solution-oriented mindset and data analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others
  • Adaptability to new challenges and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability and reliability in fulfilling roles and responsibilities
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and tech-savvy, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Local to the desired office location or able to arrange housing and transportation in the area to support an in-office working arrangement
  • At least 18 years old
  • Authorized to work in the United States without restriction
