About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct operational reviews, quality audits, and control self-assessments across insurance business segments
  • Evaluate adherence to policies and procedures and the effectiveness of internal controls
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret operational data from multiple reporting sources
  • Identify trends, quantify risks, detect emerging issues, and support strategic decision-making
  • Document findings, perform root cause analysis, develop recommendations, and partner with stakeholders on corrective actions and issue remediation through closure
  • Build partnerships across Operations, Underwriting, Technology, and business units
  • Communicate findings through concise, actionable reporting
  • Identify, recommend, and lead cross-functional process and technology enhancements
  • Improve operational quality, efficiency, risk management, and control effectiveness
  • Serve as a subject matter expert during User Acceptance Testing
  • Validate new system functionality affecting submissions, policy administration, premium reconciliation, and related operational processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five or more years of experience in insurance operations, underwriting support, quality assurance, audit, controls, or a related operational function
  • Working knowledge of insurance operations, policy lifecycle processes, risk management principles, and quality assurance methodologies
  • Strong analytical, root cause analysis, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends and control gaps, develop corrective action recommendations, manage competing priorities, and deliver accurate, high-quality work within deadlines
  • Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders without direct authority, collaborate across multiple teams, exercise sound judgment, take ownership of outcomes, and independently drive process improvements and cross-functional initiatives
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint
  • Experience serving as a subject matter expert for requirements development and system testing
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred
  • Progress toward a professional designation such as CPCU, AINS, AU, ARM, or a similar certification is preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
