About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead IT operations, infrastructure, systems administration, system integrations/EDI, and business intelligence
- Strengthen the reliability, performance, security, and scalability of the technology environment
- Define and evolve systems architecture and integration strategy across TMS, CRM, ERP, WMS, and other platforms
- Improve business data quality, accessibility, governance, and use
- Develop dashboards and business intelligence capabilities
- Identify and implement automation and process improvement opportunities
- Establish standards for documentation, governance, business continuity, and knowledge transfer
- Lead, develop, and foster accountability within a multidisciplinary IT team
- Partner with Operations, Sales, Finance, and executive leadership to align technology priorities with business objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven IT leadership experience in a fast-paced, mid-sized, or growing organization
- Strong experience in systems integration, APIs, EDI, data architecture, and business intelligence
- Demonstrated ability to stabilize, structure, and improve complex technology environments
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems administration, and support operations
- Experience with TMS, CRM, ERP, WMS, or comparable business systems
- Strong analytical and business acumen, with the ability to translate technology into tangible business outcomes
- Hands-on leadership style and a strong focus on execution, accountability, and problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders across functions and leadership levels
- Transportation and logistics experience is considered a strong asset
