About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Carry out Plant Engineering functions across multiple locations, including project management, capital management, facilities, and maintenance/tooling management.
- Integrate with manufacturing to increase product throughput and quality.
- Work cross-functionally with EHS to maintain compliance with environmental systems and state and federal regulations.
- Maintain and design process improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities including EOS RIE Events, 5S, TPM, and Six Sigma.
- Lead departmental safety and health metrics to achieve site objectives.
- Direct plant project engineers and plant maintenance/tooling personnel.
- Interpret and enforce engineering specifications, equipment and maintenance requirements, and facilities compliance requirements.
- Work with Corporate Engineering to deliver plant improvements aligned with strategic business plans and customer demands.
- Manage the Plant Technical Staff and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Manage capital projects and submit the annual Capital Budget with justification.
- Define activities necessary to ensure plant operations.
- Support environmental compliance for the Richmond manufacturing business.
- Participate in developing long-range goals and objectives.
- Establish procedures satisfying facilities contractual and procurement requirements.
- Serve as plant contact and direct maintenance and repair scheduling.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Four-year degree in technical field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience (>10 years preferred).
- Five years of experience in environmental compliance.
- Experience managing multiple, complex, simultaneous projects ranging from $10K to more than $10 million.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to interact with all Plant, Corporate, and Governmental departments.
- Ability to support and troubleshoot PLC, robotic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.
- Ability to comply with environmental, engineering, equipment, maintenance, facilities, state, and federal requirements.
