About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee plant equipment, facility infrastructure, and technical teams to maximize machine uptime and minimize operational downtime
Direct maintenance personnel and provide supervision for all maintenance personnel
Drive sustainability and implement TPM
Ensure preventive maintenance schedules and activities are completed in a timely manner
Solicit vendor quotes
Support production by minimizing downtime and ensuring critical equipment is operational
Schedule overtime and provide on-call and after-hours support for all shifts as needed
Prioritize safety for all associates and actively participate in safety audits
Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with work instructions
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for repair, installation, or extraction of production machinery
Perform preventive maintenance, order parts, and control inventory
Report problems and potential solutions to the Plant Manager for direction and guidance
Assist with environmental monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections
Complete EPA checklists and annual reports

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED
5+ years working in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
At least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Proven knowledge and skills troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining metal fabrication production equipment
Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance needs and material handling equipment, including forklifts and hand trucks
Ability to troubleshoot and repair 3-phase 120-, 240-, and 480-volt electrical circuits; single-phase 12-, 24-, 120-, 240-, and 480-volt electrical circuits; DC circuits; motor control circuits; pneumatic systems/circuits; and hydraulic systems/circuits
Project management skills, including materials and labor planning
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employee organizations
Mathematical ability involving area, circumference, volume, fractions, division, percentages, ratios, and proportions
Common-sense reasoning and ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Competent computer skills using general office software and maintenance hardware/software interfacing with production machinery
LEAN background
Journeyman Electrical, SAP, eMaint, and laser cutting technologies are preferred or advantageous, not required
