About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate receipt, filing, and accuracy of shipping documents
- Prepare shipping documents, including documents for out-of-country shipments
- Ensure required documents are accurately completed and maintained in an orderly file
- Complete entries accurately and promptly in BAAN/SAP
- Create planned shipment documents
- Provide backup coverage for the Logistics Specialist and other department employees when assigned
- Operate a lift truck
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma/GED from an accredited institution
- At least 1 year of experience in an administrative support role and/or shipping/receiving position at a manufacturing facility or distribution center
- Ability to use computer systems, including MRP and MS Office
- Ability to read and interpret documents in the local language, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to perform mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to interpret Pareto charts, bar graphs, flow charts, and other quality tools
- Must be able to operate a lift truck and have or be able to obtain a forklift truck license
- Must be able to pass the company’s driving requirements
- Certain vehicles may require a specific driver’s license and additional driving requirements
