About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor the health and performance of server infrastructure
- Assist with administration and maintenance of Windows servers and related services
- Support network switches, wireless access points, and connectivity issues
- Assist with backup and data retention processes
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers
- Follow established cybersecurity and system security practices
- Provide hardware and software support for desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile devices
- Troubleshoot operating system, application, and connectivity issues
- Set up and configure new user workstations and equipment
- Assist users through ticketing systems, phone, email, and in-person support
- Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides
- Provide basic end-user training and assistance
- Assist with software installation, updates, and patch management
- Support business applications and troubleshoot application-related issues
- Assist with user account management and access control
- Help maintain digital security and access control systems
- Assist with telephone, voicemail, and communication systems
- Support adds, moves, and changes for user accounts and devices
- Assist in troubleshooting network and communication issues

Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and experience will be considered
- 0-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, systems administration, or related technical roles
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or Azure Fundamentals are a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and Wi-Fi
- Working knowledge of endpoint security and antivirus solutions
- Desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting knowledge
- Printer and peripheral device troubleshooting knowledge
- Familiarity with remote support tools, web browsers, and common business applications
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and pursue professional development
- Ability to work effectively with users at all levels of the organization
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and work at a computer workstation for extended periods
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection
