About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support internal and external customers with engineering, technical information, and installation information
- Understand standards such as IEEE and ASCE as they relate to customer requirements
- Process custom sales orders
- Provide drafting support using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Create bills of materials for new kits and batteries in BaaN and SAP
- Authorize and approve ECOs, drawings, and designs
- Support nuclear safety-related projects
- Interact with customers, engineering, marketing, customer support, sales, and suppliers
- Respond to daily technical inquiries via phone and general mailbox
- Provide product support and ensure designs meet or exceed expectations
Requirements
What you’ll need- A bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field or related discipline
- 2 or more years of experience in a related engineering role; electromechanical experience desired
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Knowledge of standby power equipment design, industry standards, and quality procedures
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Above-average knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Working knowledge of lead-acid or other battery chemistries
- High level of attention to detail
