About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee day-to-day shipping and receiving operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient material flow
- Lead, train, and develop shipping and receiving team members
- Support skill development and performance improvement
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, shipping, receiving, and accountability requirements
- Oversee accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of materials
- Ensure proper segregation, organization, and warehouse location control
- Operate and maintain required certifications for material handling equipment
- Serve as a liaison between Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and other internal stakeholders
- Apply 5S and Lean principles to improve warehouse flow, productivity, and workplace organization
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Support customer expectations, operational performance, and continuous improvement within the Specialty Line of Business
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Minimum of one year experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment
- Working knowledge of shipping and receiving processes and material handling equipment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and third-party shipping or warehouse management systems
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Required certifications for material handling equipment including forklifts, banding equipment, pneumatic manipulators, and pallet jacks
