About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and support Windows-based server and infrastructure environments, including physical and virtual systems
- Create and maintain user accounts, access controls, and security privileges in Microsoft Active Directory environments
- Support system backup and recovery processes
- Monitor system performance, availability, and alerts; troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues
- Support VMware and other virtualization environments through routine maintenance and operational support
- Maintain and support enterprise email systems, including mailbox administration and distribution lists
- Support endpoint systems, mobile devices, and associated management technologies
- Assist with infrastructure security tools and controls, including endpoint protection and system hardening
- Provide second-level support for help desk and end-user issues, including escalation resolution
- Assist with system upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Support infrastructure projects and deployments under the direction of senior administrators or management
- Follow established IT standards, policies, and procedures
- Support audit, compliance, and documentation requirements
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure support
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory environments
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware
- Familiarity with backup, storage, and disaster recovery technologies
- Basic understanding of networking and infrastructure concepts
- Familiarity with endpoint management and mobile device support
- Understanding of IT security best practices and ability to follow established controls
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow processes and work within established standards
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with end users and technical teams
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required
