About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer program grants and applications through Survey Monkey Apply (SM Apply)
  • Support national program managers in implementing program development plans
  • Develop program communication materials and promote initiatives to stakeholders
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvement strategies
  • Coordinate with finance on grant disbursement and compliance with granting and evaluation frameworks
  • Work with vendors and consultants on legal agreements, safe food handling guidelines, and evaluation processes
  • Monitor contractual obligations with donors and grantees
  • Submit reporting data and support donor report development
  • Develop program reports for staff, the network, and program partners
  • Present grant updates and outcomes to staff and senior management
  • Manage timelines for the national granting program
  • Coordinate internal working groups and grant review committees
  • Develop and manage relationships with food banks, provincial associations, and program partners
  • Provide webinar training on online grant opportunities, processes, and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in program management at a non-profit
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Exposure to grant software and database systems is an asset
  • Experience developing and executing granting programs funded by the Government of Canada is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience of donor reporting
  • Strong budgeting skills and some financial acuity
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving, customer service and relationship building experience
  • Initiative and ability to work with little supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
