About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain records for past and present patients.
  • Supervise Medical Records department clerical staff.
  • Maintain medical records in locked cabinets to assure confidentiality of patient information.
  • Set up new patient clinical records.
  • File documentation in patient charts chronologically in appropriate locations.
  • Monitor check-in and check-out of patient charts by office and field staff.
  • Assist staff in locating charts and documentation.
  • Log in and out physician orders and mail orders to appropriate physicians.
  • Prepare paperwork for IDG meetings.
  • Send attending physicians IDG updates following IDG meetings.
  • Develop and implement systems for organization and timely retrieval of documentation.
  • Break down discharged patients' records.
  • Maintain and store discharged patient charts.
  • Assist with orientation of new employees as requested.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Administrator.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience as a record manager preferred.
  • Skilled organizer able to manage office files, logbooks and staff schedules.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Light secretarial skills and polite telephone manners.
  • Candidates must disclose any current or future need for employment-based immigration sponsorship before an offer of employment is extended.
