About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Promote technical innovation and transformation aligned with client business drivers and corporate objectives
Provide client and industry feedback to Ensono’s internal teams to inform product and technology roadmaps
Support Sales, Consulting, Operations, and Service Management organizations serving strategic clients
Create reference architecture frameworks and templates with clients’ business and technical teams
Lead multi-year transformation initiatives in client environments
Help account teams identify, pursue, and close strategic business development opportunities and drive add-on business
Foster executive-level relationships and emphasize client satisfaction
Inform clients about emerging technologies relevant to infrastructure needs
Interpret client business opportunities, changes, and challenges to drive short- and long-term technology roadmaps
Analyze technology landscapes to identify gaps, impact, and technical debt; recommend solutions for cost optimization, improved operations, and sustainability
Advocate for and drive adoption of reference architectures, technology design patterns, and solution principles
Develop end-to-end solutions across mainframe, open systems, and cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM, and Dell
Collaborate with Sales and Consulting to create pursuit, solution, and sales strategies
Conduct discovery and assessment workshops
Develop and document technical and business solutions focused on transformation and re-platforming
Conduct solution development sessions and present technical solutions and business cases
Gain executive buy-in for complex solutions through senior-level technology discussions
Serve as a trusted advisor by providing consultation and recommendations
Partner with Product Management on product enhancements and technology roadmap changes
Drive stability and innovation across clients’ current and future environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer sciences
Major industry accreditations / certifications
15+ years of experience as an architect in the hosting and network space in a consulting environment or with a managed service provider
Deep consulting or managed services experience in hosting, infrastructure, or cloud environments
Experience with large enterprise clients and complex, multi-year engagements
Proven track record of translating business objectives into technology strategy
Experience managing projects through the entire project lifecycle, including multi-phase, multi-dimensional, multi-resource projects
Deep experience with public cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure, and hybrid solutions
Full stack hosting knowledge: compute, storage, networking, security, disaster recovery, and DevOps
Deep understanding of the enterprise sales process, particularly Infrastructure-as-a-Service (ITO) deals
Resourceful and confident in crisis and expectation management and under pressure
Technical documentation skills
Ability to share knowledge across company organizations and facilitate teamwork
Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Visio
Executive presence and ability to speak fluently with C-suite and senior technical leaders
Proven ability to influence complex decisions through clear storytelling and business case development
Comfort presenting to diverse audiences, including business leaders, IT teams, and boards of directors
Frequent travel to Ensono locations and client sites, estimated at 25% of weeks, with more travel possible during the first year
