Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with Sales and Consulting organizations to create pursuit, solution, and sales strategies for large existing global clients
Conduct discovery and assessment workshops with consulting, operations, and product teams to drive further client-account penetration
Develop and document technical and business solutions focused on transformation and re-platforming efforts
Conduct solution-development sessions and present technical solutions and business cases to varied audiences
Engage executive and senior-level stakeholders to gain buy-in for complex solutions
Provide consultation and recommendations as a trusted technology adviser
Partner with Product Management to drive product enhancements and technology-roadmap changes
Drive stability and innovation across clients’ current and future states
Create solutions based on client requirements and available product offerings

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer sciences
20+ years of experience as an architect or equivalent in the hosting and network space, preferably with a service provider
Over 12 years' experience as a Modernization or Migration Architect, leading legacy system upgrades to new platforms with minimal business disruption
Hands-on experience with Mainframe Application migration and legacy modernization projects
15+ years of experience with strong expertise across COBOL, Natural, Adabas, Easytrieve, Db2, IMS, JCL, CICS, VSAM, RACF, z/OS, PL/I, and Assembler
Proven experience managing projects through the entire project lifecycle
Demonstrated expertise in data migration and legacy data structures
Experience evaluating mainframe legacy applications and developing modernization plans
Development experience with modern Java and C# frameworks
Extensive experience with Python for scripting, automation, data analysis, and scalable backend systems
Understanding of public cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure, and hybrid solutions
Ability to understand and leverage Artificial Intelligence and identify AI use cases for legacy modernization
Knowledge of hosting technology including compute, storage, backup, network, security, disaster recovery, DevOps, and IT governance
Understanding of the sales process for large and complex opportunities
Experience in crisis and expectation management
Experience creating technical documentation
Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Visio
Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, oral, written, and presentation skills
Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
