About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and delegate responsibilities for assigned IT teams involved in systems programming
  • Oversee day-to-day functions aligned with Global Leader responsibilities and duties
  • Maintain ongoing project management and status tracking
  • Provide thought leadership within the assigned tower and Business Unit
  • Provide technical support for software solutions
  • Direct Team Leaders and resources
  • Participate in client, team, and Business Unit meetings and provide documentation for client operational meetings
  • Mentor and guide team members to enhance performance
  • Keep current with changes in standards, technologies, and methodologies
  • Administer and update weekly project management documents
  • Manage the team’s ticket queue and follow up on aging tickets
  • Provide risk assessment and risk management
  • Administer quarterly reviews
  • Set quarterly and yearly goals aligned with the Business Unit and company
  • Review assignments for accuracy and quality
  • Delegate responsibilities where applicable
  • Collaborate with other departments
  • Develop, assess, and ensure completion of personnel, departmental, and company goals
  • Participate in and provide timely responses to internal and external audits
  • Participate in onboarding new clients
  • Own team performance and career management, including regular one-on-one meetings
  • Provide technical and soft-skill mentoring, project management, quality audits, training coordination, and day-to-day team oversight

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10 years of Mainframe Systems Programming experience
  • 5+ years of related experience within an IT Operations environment with a bachelor’s degree
  • Relevant work experience will be considered in place of a bachelor’s degree
  • 3–5 years of management experience in a related field
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and lead internal resources to accomplish key milestones
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to deliver informative and well-organized presentations
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills, with ability to work and build relationships across multiple organizational levels
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn quickly
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint
  • ServiceNow or similar ITSM tool skills, including Incident, Request, Change, and Problem ticket workflows
