Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support for ongoing projects requiring installation, testing, and implementation of new z/OS operating systems and other system software

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience within a mainframe environment within a large enterprise or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of z/OS and z/OS installation and maintenance including SMP/E
  • Working knowledge of TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL
  • Working knowledge of Unix System Services (USS)
  • Working knowledge of USS file system management and security
  • Ability to perform the skill set of a Mainframe System Programmer
  • Ability to perform moderately complex ISV installations
  • Knowledge of z/OS security
  • Knowledge of z/OS systems programming functions
  • Understanding of z/OS services structure, Parallel Sysplex, and Catalog management
  • Ability to work well as a team member
  • Stress resistance in major incident and emergency situations
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
