About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own an assigned Specialty Gases portfolio
  • Lead product strategy, roadmaps, pricing, forecasting, sourcing, commercialization, and lifecycle management
  • Deliver global revenue, gross margin, market-share, and operating targets
  • Monitor performance and lead corrective actions
  • Support 8D investigations and quality activities
  • Deliver portfolio and project milestones on time and within budget
  • Define product strategy, partnerships, commercialization priorities, pricing, positioning, product changes, and lifecycle decisions
  • Partner with sales, distributors, and strategic partners to expand market access and translate customer needs into product plans
  • Develop financial models and business cases for pricing, investment, roadmap, and new-product decisions
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with R&D, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Field Applications, EH&S, Legal, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, and Sales
  • Develop demand forecasts and align capacity, inventory, backlog, and customer commitments with Operations and Supply Chain
  • Lead product governance from concept through post-launch optimization
  • Represent customer and sales perspectives in value propositions, product requirements, and priorities
  • Create customer-facing and sales-enablement materials
  • Provide product management expertise and coach colleagues and cross-functional teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, chemical science, business, or a related discipline
  • Typically requires at least eight years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, six years with a master’s degree, three years with a Ph.D., or equivalent experience
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including P&L drivers, cost structures, gross margin, forecasting, ROI, NPV, total cost of ownership, and business-case development
  • Ability to work independently on complex issues and exercise judgment
  • Proven ability to influence across the organization and guide cross-functional action without direct authority
  • Ability to synthesize customer, market, operational, technical, and sales input into recommendations and product priorities
  • Strong customer presence and communication skills
  • Knowledge of semiconductor processes, technology, materials, customer applications, and operational and supply-chain considerations
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, risk, and results in a fast-paced global environment
  • Experience across geographies and cultures in a multinational organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP, business intelligence, and analytical tools is preferred
  • Experience in product management, cross-functional leadership, project execution, and commercialization preferred
  • Semiconductor materials experience and knowledge of semiconductor processes and technology strongly preferred
  • Multinational and cross-cultural experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel; 40% travel required
