About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and continuously mature the enterprise Sales & Operations Planning process and its evolution toward Integrated Business Planning
  • Own the end-to-end monthly planning cycle, including product/portfolio review, demand review, supply review, pre-S&OP, and executive S&OP
  • Establish consistent planning cadence, meeting discipline, and decision-making frameworks across business units and regions
  • Reconcile unconstrained demand with supply capabilities into one aligned operating plan
  • Define and monitor S&OP KPIs and hold cross-functional partners accountable
  • Identify and escalate demand/supply gaps, capacity constraints, and inventory risks with scenarios and recommended actions
  • Direct the Demand Planning function, including statistical forecasting, market/customer intelligence integration, and consensus demand
  • Transform S&OP into Integrated Business Planning connecting strategy, portfolio, demand, supply, and financial plans over an 18+ month horizon
  • Build capabilities for new-product forecasting, long-range planning, scenario modelling, and risk management
  • Partner with Finance to integrate financial reconciliation into the planning cycle
  • Establish IBP governance, roles, and decision rights across corporate, business unit, and site levels
  • Benchmark maturity against industry best practices and build a multi-year improvement roadmap
  • Lead planning transformation change management, communication, training, playbooks, governance routines, and organizational adoption
  • Partner with HR and functional leaders on future-state roles, capabilities, and organizational structure
  • Balance statistical, market-driven, and customer-informed demand with plant and supplier capacity
  • Evaluate capacity strategies, allocation decisions, make-versus-buy trade-offs, and inventory strategies
  • Own the S&OP/IBP technology roadmap with IT, including SAP ECC/IBP or equivalent platforms, analytics, and reporting tools
  • Leverage advanced analytics, AI/ML-enabled forecasting, and dashboards
  • Improve planning parameters, master data, and process controls
  • Develop executive reporting and dashboards on performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Present recommendations, trade-offs, and business cases at executive S&OP/IBP reviews
  • Represent planning in strategic long-range planning cycles and major business reviews
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing planning team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in Sales & Operations Planning, Integrated Business Planning, demand/supply planning, or supply chain strategy
  • Experience designing, leading, and maturing S&OP or IBP processes in a complex, multi-site, global organization
  • Track record leading large-scale change management and process transformation initiatives, including stakeholder alignment and organizational adoption
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to present complex trade-offs and influence senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of demand/supply balancing, financial integration, and scenario-based decision making
  • Experience in the semiconductor or semiconductor materials industry, with understanding of long lead-time capacity constraints, high-mix/high-volume environments, and cyclical demand patterns
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM) or Oliver Wight IBP training/certification preferred
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ECC/IBP or comparable advanced planning systems preferred
  • Change management certification or formal training (e.g., Prosci) strongly preferred
  • Experience directly leading a Demand Planning organization is a plus
