About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead delivery of Enterprise’s program solutions, innovations, capital, and policy efforts in the Rocky Mountain region
  • Conduct strategic assessments of local and state needs and develop solutions for affordable housing and community development
  • Manage a high-capacity team of four dedicated staff
  • Develop and oversee innovative programs and capital resources
  • Collaborate across Enterprise divisions and departments to identify opportunities
  • Build programs, capital, and policy solutions with input from communities served
  • Manage relationships with local and state government partners and elected officials
  • Facilitate collaboration with Enterprise markets, initiatives, and capital product teams
  • Develop philanthropic capital opportunities and manage philanthropy and government contract revenue relationships
  • Develop and achieve the Rocky Mountain market’s annual fundraising goal
  • Coordinate media and communications opportunities
  • Manage the Rocky Mountain Partner Sustainability program
  • Manage rental housing preservation, housing supply, and climate resilience initiatives
  • Lead strategic plans, offerings, and reach in the region
  • Fulfill market mission and revenue goals
  • Manage market revenue and expenses, annual plans, and budgets
  • Facilitate strategic program initiatives and best practices
  • Oversee operational activities, grants and contracts management, and procurement
  • Supervise staff and cultivate talent and teamwork
  • Lead local and state policy engagement and advance policy priorities
  • Coordinate with Enterprise’s national federal policy office and local congressional delegation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of fifteen years of experience in relevant community development, public policy, government, banking and finance, nonprofit, or real estate development experience
  • An undergraduate degree is required
  • Experience and a successful track record in the affordable housing and/or community development sector
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local community development programs and private resources available for community development
  • Specific knowledge of housing development and finance, including low-income housing tax credits, and property management, preferred
  • Knowledge of how policy is crafted and passed in local, regional, and state policy arenas
  • Ability to effectively market Enterprise’s products, programs, and activities to potential customers and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead and manage staff through effective planning, organizing, decision-making, motivating, supervising, and evaluating
  • Strong skills in fostering teamwork to develop staff, leverage talent, and partner with colleagues
  • Experience engaging with and obtaining support from philanthropic donors, including corporations, foundations, and individuals
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and efficiently using financial resources
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands, and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated professionalism, diplomacy, composure, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%
