About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Expand the Company’s business within pre-assigned territories
  • Acquire and develop new customers and expand the product line within existing customer accounts
  • Develop and target regional accounts and prospects with the Director of National Accounts
  • Achieve contract, revenue growth, account milestone, and activity objectives
  • Maintain current customers and acquire new customers through telephone calls, sales calls, and presentations
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, proposals, contracts, price increases, cancellations, and renewals
  • Grow customer revenue and profits through service changes and price increases
  • Communicate regulatory compliance issues to customers
  • Implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and profits
  • Resolve problems and coordinate customer needs with Field Operations and Customer Service
  • Liaise between customers and Accounts Payable for receivables collection
  • Coordinate Regional and National account sales activities
  • Present the company value proposition and Clean Earth’s benefits versus competitors
  • Create presentations for key customers and prospects
  • Develop and execute territory and account selling strategies
  • Complete territory routing plans, forecasts, and customer business reviews
  • Develop and execute account-specific strategies for national and regional manufacturing and industrial markets
  • Provide management with information to evaluate regional and national opportunities
  • Participate in professional organizations to promote customer brand loyalty
  • Make daily calls on new prospects and identify leads through websites, networking, vendors, and peers
  • Monitor and communicate sales performance using approved metrics
  • Manage existing book of business while driving territory growth through new prospects
  • Perform other related tasks assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sciences, or Management
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated success in selling outsourced services to the retail or related industries
  • Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and DEA regulatory environment preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
  • Solid communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Experience managing multiple accounts, or equivalent related work experience
  • Established relationships or ability to rapidly establish relationships within C-level, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing functions within the retail industry
  • Ability to consider “out of the box” solutions
  • Ability to use general office equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted occasionally
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods
  • Ability to travel extensively, including within the United States, Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii
