About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support across multiple departments
- Support day-to-day office functions, project coordination, communication, and administrative processes
- Provide administrative and secretarial support under the Human Resources & Compliance office
- Assist Purchasing, Quality, Accounting, Payroll, Engineering, Marketing, and I.T. departments
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, travel, catering, department activities, supplies, and direct mailings
- Work on special projects and departmental initiatives
- Answer correspondence, phones, routine and non-routine questions, and take messages
- Assemble confidential and sensitive information for various departments
- Liaise with other departments, outside agencies, the CEO, and Executive Management
- Sort and distribute mail
- Perform desktop publishing and maintain employee attendance sheets
- Notify the Manager of quality or safety issues
- Promote workplace safety and environmental practices
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school student only
- At least 16 years old
- Reliable transportation
- Must work in person in Bristol, VA
- Ability to provide administrative and secretarial support
- Ability to type, file, schedule, coordinate meetings and conferences, obtain supplies, coordinate direct mailings, and complete special projects
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to communicate with external callers, visitors, internal contacts, and high-level staff
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload using independent judgment
- Ability to schedule and organize meetings, travel, conferences, catering, and department activities
- Ability to answer phones and routine and non-routine questions
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability to sort and distribute mail
- Ability to perform desktop publishing and create, develop, and update employee attendance sheets
- Ability to organize and prioritize large volumes of information and calls
- Ability to notify the Manager of quality or safety issues
- Ability to maintain interpersonal working relationships and function as a team member
- Ability to properly use and maintain equipment and supplies
