About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct QC Technician activities and schedule work to achieve daily and weekly milestones
  • Communicate production, quality, environmental, and safety issues immediately to management
  • Supervise QC Technicians, including scheduling, performance reviews, corrective action, training, and timecard approvals
  • Mentor and motivate team members to improve engagement and meet productivity and quality metrics
  • Disseminate pertinent and timely information as the team communications hub
  • Maintain and improve team efficiency and implement continuous improvement projects
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality engineers to implement new processes
  • Perform hands-on QC Technician duties as needed
  • Own the team's quality output as a stakeholder in Eos's quality program
  • Maintain clean and organized work environments and address safety or productivity risks
  • Model professional behavior and enforce work rules and accountability
  • Measure and report performance metrics
  • Work the schedule of the assigned team, potentially including second or third shift, weekends, extended hours, and holidays
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities
  • Conduct work in office and factory environments, following required safety procedures and using safety equipment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree or trade-school preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience required
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus in Quality, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to accurately read measuring devices, blueprints, product specifications and test procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of established quality policy, procedures, and instructions
  • Understanding of component IQC and IPQC, with ability to teach proper techniques
  • Operation of laser and CMM equipment
  • High-level visual awareness
  • Strong knowledge of shop equipment, tools and work safety
  • Ability to manage time, priorities and schedules for team members and self
  • Ability to motivate and influence people
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make effective decisions expediently while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Ability to appropriately prioritize resources based upon need
  • Knowledge of manufacturing engineering and related management processes such as Kaizen, SPC, TPM, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, and Six-Sigma is a plus
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Solid skills and experience using Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work schedules including second or third shift, weekends, extended hours, and occasional holidays
