About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze, isolate, and resolve complex technical issues in second-level support
  • Analyze faults in applications, interfaces, and data flows
  • Configure interfaces to customer systems
  • Analyze data and error patterns using SQL queries
  • Read and understand PHP code or pseudocode for root-cause analysis
  • Support the connection and integration of solutions into existing system landscapes
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers
  • Work closely with development, project management, and other technical stakeholders
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Help ensure reliable, smooth, and efficient digital workflows in emergency departments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for application development or an equivalent technical qualification
  • Good knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases
  • Basic understanding of PHP or comparable programming languages, with the ability to understand and use existing code and pseudocode to a limited extent for troubleshooting
  • Experience configuring and analyzing interfaces, along with an understanding of how different systems communicate with one another
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and a basic understanding of common communication protocols
  • Technical understanding of client/server systems and how they interact
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to systematically isolate and sustainably resolve technical issues
  • Willingness to learn about new technologies, systems, and business contexts
  • Preferred: Experience with Mirth Connect, HL7 communication, and interface configuration
  • Preferred: Knowledge of networking technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and ports
  • Preferred: Experience with MariaDB
  • Preferred: Knowledge of IIS and Apache web servers, particularly configuration and troubleshooting
  • Preferred: Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare standards
  • Preferred: Experience with hospital information systems or other healthcare IT systems
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Windows Server
