About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Greet patients and create a welcoming, patient-centered atmosphere
- Guide patients through check-in processes, including virtual tablets
- Address patient questions and concerns
- Communicate walk-ins, schedule changes, and patient needs to ensure seamless guest flow
- Troubleshoot patient issues and escalate concerns to the office manager, physician, or billing department
- Perform front desk and lobby opening and closing tasks
- Print patient demographics and schedules
- File necessary paperwork
- Maintain a clean and organized lobby
- Manually check in patients unable to use virtual systems
- Communicate patient arrivals, delays, and on-site needs to team members
- Contribute to teamwork and the overall success of the office
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 1 year in a customer service role
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Patient-centered approach
- Strong verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with computers and technology or the ability to quickly learn
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Background checks are required for this role
