About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned private equity firms using portfolio mapping, install-base analysis, vertical and buy-and-build priorities, whitespace identification, and relationship-development strategies
  • Build executive-level relationships across the private equity ecosystem and position Epicor as a strategic technology partner
  • Translate sponsor value-creation priorities into differentiated narratives for PE sponsors and portfolio-company economic buyers
  • Identify acquisition, carve-out, divestiture, platform-consolidation, modernization, and cloud-transition events that create opportunities for Epicor solutions
  • Own the full sales lifecycle for designated private equity carve-out opportunities, from prospecting through negotiation, forecasting, and close
  • Serve as a strategic sales overlay for non-carve-out portfolio opportunities
  • Build referral and influence networks with technology-diligence advisors, value-creation partners, systems integrators, and ecosystem participants
  • Orchestrate cross-functional resources across Sales, Solutions, Channel, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and Services
  • Develop portfolio-wide commercial approaches, preferred-vendor or master-service-agreement frameworks, standardized statements of work, implementation models, and repeatable sales plays
  • Maintain disciplined CRM management and forecast accuracy while measuring PE-sourced and PE-influenced pipeline separately
  • Share portfolio intelligence, competitive trends, benchmark insights, and results across the Revenue organization
  • Establish and manage leading and outcome measures for the private equity sales motion

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced enterprise software or SaaS sales capability with demonstrated success developing and closing complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities and consistently delivering against revenue targets
  • Strong understanding of private equity business models and transaction stages, including acquisitions, diligence, carve-outs, buy-and-build strategies, portfolio value creation, operating-partner relationships, hold-period economics, and exit readiness
  • Advanced strategic account planning, portfolio analysis, pipeline generation, consultative selling, executive engagement, systems-readiness discovery, negotiation, and deal orchestration capabilities
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen connecting technology investments to EBITDA, working capital, operational improvement, growth, profitability, integration, and investment outcomes
  • Exceptional cross-functional influence, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to establish referral partnerships, lead complex initiatives without direct authority, and operate independently as a senior individual contributor
  • 10+ years progressive experience in enterprise software, SaaS, technology, or complex solution sales
  • 4+ years of experience selling to or working with private equity sponsors, private equity-backed companies, strategic enterprise accounts, or similarly complex investment-driven customer environments
  • Demonstrated history of achieving or exceeding individual sales targets, generating significant new-business pipeline, and converting strategic relationships or ecosystem referrals into measurable revenue outcomes
  • Experience navigating executive-level relationships and complex sales cycles involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
