About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own product development end-to-end, from understanding the problem and shaping the solution through building, launching, and iterating
- Analyze user and stakeholder feedback and translate it into product improvements
- Turn ambiguous ideas into priorities, focused scopes, and working prototypes
- Shape UI and user experiences across the product, emphasizing clarity, consistency, and craft
- Build across frontend, backend, integrations, and infrastructure as needed
- Balance speed, quality, and scope to deliver value quickly
- Collaborate with design, product, and business teams on what and how to build
- Ship reliable, intuitive experiences and own testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
- Measure product performance, learn from real usage, and take responsibility for outcomes
- Work hands-on with AI and emerging technologies
- Contribute to products used by tens of thousands of organizations and millions of people worldwide
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience appropriate to a junior or mid-level Software Engineer role
- Ability to turn ideas into working software, with projects to demonstrate
- Strong feel for excellent software and UI/UX
- Product-oriented thinking and ability to understand user problems and question assumptions
- Exceptional engineering ability for the candidate's experience level
- Bonus: experience across multiple technologies and programming paradigms
- Bonus: familiarity with asynchronous programming
- Bonus: open-source contributions
- Application should include a GitHub profile, portfolio, or development war stories describing what was built, owned, and learned
- Application should include an assessment of good and bad UX and proposed improvements
