About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within one or more specialized IT areas
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient communication of IT project updates
  • Attend project meetings and summarize progress of IT-related projects
  • Manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issues as necessary
  • Analyze and troubleshoot to identify patterns, trends, and process improvement opportunities
  • Establish working and professional relationships with leadership, operations, providers, clinic teams, and other departments
  • Provide Service Desk support and work the IT Service Desk ticket queue with prompt issue resolution
  • Escalate issues to the IT Manager or Senior Director according to IT procedures
  • Gather hardware requirements and manage procurement according to IT standards and procedures
  • Lead planning, implementation, documentation, training, and ongoing support for assigned SME focus areas
  • Stay current on industry trends, recommend improvements, and ensure best practices are followed
  • Support implementations, IT integrations during M&A events and new builds, telephony/VOIP, networking, identity and access management, and cybersecurity
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field preferred
  • Minimum five years experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role, including multi-site and remote support
  • Proficiency with desktop publishing software (Google Workspace / Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work with an Electronic Health Record and other related E-Systems
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks, following through to completion
  • Demonstrates cultural competency, sensitivity and responsiveness to various cultural characteristics and beliefs
  • Creative troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Driven, energetic and ready to develop new technical skills in advancement of career track
  • Demonstrates a customer-first mindset with a calm and composed demeanor
  • Able to travel 25-50% (continental US)
  • Must reside in or near Austin, TX; Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; or Seattle, WA, with convenient access to a major airport
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and lift items up to 30 lbs.
  • Administrative office work may include visits to medical offices with possible exposure to procedure/exam rooms, laboratories, communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards, or toxic substances
