About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support EPRI International’s engagement in an assigned country or region through technical expertise, account support, client relationship development, and value communication
- Help translate EPRI’s research capabilities into relevant solutions for assigned clients
- Support growth, adoption, and impact across the regional portfolio
- Report to the Regional Manager and coordinate with regional managers, sector teams, and technical staff
- Support client, country, and regional strategic plans
- Establish relationships with decision-makers and technical contacts within assigned accounts
- Deliver general and sector-specific presentations to broaden client engagement and identify growth opportunities
- Identify EPRI products, solutions, and research outputs that meet client needs
- Support the sales process from needs assessment through close and coordinate cross-functional support
- Capture client, market, and product feedback to inform account strategy and product development
- Represent technical products to clients with EPRI technical staff and sector teams
- Communicate client value, impacts, and benefits and support research adoption
- Develop client end-user relationships and support implementation of EPRI results
- Understand client strategic issues, objectives, needs, and decision-making processes
- Connect members with relevant programs, technical experts, and collaboration opportunities
- Represent EPRI in client meetings and external forums
- Develop industry contacts and networks across utilities, regulators, associations, laboratories, universities, technology providers, and specialist partners
- Connect clients with EPRI technical resources, international experience, and cross-regional examples
- Support external engagement pathways and internal follow-up actions
- Stand in for the Regional Manager when required
- Act as an ambassador for EPRI regarding the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and support compliant stakeholder engagement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of experience selling, supporting, or managing complex technical solutions in the electric utility, energy, or similar industry
- Bachelor’s degree required in a technical discipline; engineering degree preferred; advanced degree desirable
- Solid understanding of account management and sales practices, with ability to support the sales process from needs assessment to close
- Ability to engage effectively with individuals at relevant levels within client organizations, including technical end users and decision-makers
- Broad understanding of the energy industry, with specific expertise in assigned sector or relevant technical area
- Ability to work toward common goals in a team environment
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Effective presentation development and delivery skills
- Ability to translate technical research into practical messages for client audiences
- Strong client relationship and account-support skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite; effective use of LLM systems desirable
- Collaborative working style and ability to coordinate across regional, sector, and technical teams
- Ability to access export-controlled technology/information without further government authorization, as applicable
