About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work at the level of a senior associate in Epstein Becker Green’s national management-side labor and employment practice
- Manage day-to-day responsibilities of employment litigation cases
- Interview witnesses and review electronically stored documents
- Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Interact with clients and opposing counsel
- Attend court appearances
- Potentially provide advice and counsel on workplace law issues, including wage and hour, employee relations, risk mitigation, accommodations, employment agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of five years of relevant labor and employment litigation experience
- Knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws, including Title VII, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, trade secret law, and similar state laws
- Experience managing case responsibilities, including interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings, motions and briefs, conducting and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court appearances
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Admission to practice law in New York state and federal courts is mandatory
