About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide day-to-day legal advice and counsel to health plans, IPAs, providers, payors, and vendors on managed care matters

- Advise on Medicaid managed care requirements involving New York State DOH, NJ FamilyCare/DMAHS, and CMCS
- Draft and negotiate provider network participation, downstream, and ancillary services agreements
- Counsel clients on coverage, reimbursement, value-based care, and risk-sharing arrangements
- Advise ACOs participating in MSSP, CMMI models, and other demonstration programs
- Support Medicare Advantage and D-SNP clients on regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters
- Contribute to high-impact firm and client initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Managed care associate role in the Health Care & Life Sciences practice
- Legal advice and counseling experience involving health plans, Medicaid managed care organizations, MLTC plans, HARPs, IPAs, providers, payors, and vendors
- Knowledge of federal, New York, and New Jersey regulatory compliance
- Knowledge of HMO licensure and oversight under New York Public Health Law Article 44 and the New Jersey Health Maintenance Organization Act
- Knowledge of Medicaid managed care requirements administered by New York State DOH, NJ FamilyCare/DMAHS, and CMCS
- Experience drafting and negotiating provider network participation, downstream, and ancillary services agreements
- Knowledge of coverage, reimbursement, value-based care, and risk-sharing arrangements
- Experience advising ACOs participating in MSSP, CMMI models, and other CMMI demonstration programs
- Experience supporting Medicare Advantage and D-SNP clients on regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters
- Qualified applicant; licensure or certification may be considered in compensation decisions
