About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute growth strategies for Epstein Becker Green’s Health Care & Life Sciences practice
  • Create and implement business development plans using market intelligence and data analytics
  • Manage the business development lifecycle from lead generation through pitch execution and follow-up
  • Design targeted marketing tactics, including outreach, events, thought leadership, and digital campaigns
  • Guide attorneys through RFP responses, pitch preparation, and messaging customization
  • Coach attorneys and junior business development team members
  • Evaluate business development decisions using structured analysis, data, ROI analysis, market trends, and performance metrics
  • Adjust plans based on market conditions, client priorities, and the regulatory environment
  • Plan and sequence initiatives across practice teams and manage competing deadlines
  • Enhance practice visibility through events, conferences, speaking opportunities, and content campaigns
  • Coordinate industry rankings and recognition program responses
  • Maintain accurate practice expertise information across marketing materials and digital platforms
  • Set quality standards and identify process improvements
  • Build attorney and external stakeholder relationships and identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Monitor strategic objectives, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate across Marketing and firm functions and represent the practice in working groups
  • Communicate priorities, decisions, and changes to attorneys and Marketing colleagues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, English, Communications, or related field required
  • Minimum of 7 years of marketing and business development experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, CRM systems, and digital marketing platforms
  • Proficiency in artificial intelligence tools and workflows
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Advanced degree and business development coaching certification preferred
  • Role requires extended computer work and periodic travel to firm offices
