About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design the electrical part of refrigeration units and/or refrigeration plants using sustainable alternative construction criteria
  • Lead product development and electrical design activities for commercial refrigerators
  • Communicate and collaborate with vendors and suppliers
  • Optimize designs using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
  • Perform engineering design using hand calculations and 1D/2D engineering model analysis
  • Integrate controllers, harnesses, plugs, luminaires, and other electrical/electronic components meeting electrical safety standards
  • Generate and present reports for design approval
  • Draft and publish internal engineering standards and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Electrical / Electronic Engineering degree: bachelor’s with 7+ years of experience or master’s with 5+ years of experience
  • Competency with electrical wiring diagram design
  • Knowledge of PCB design
  • Hands-on engineering and prototype testing for lighting optimization is a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • CAD proficiency
  • Proficient in English
  • Spanish is a plus
