HR Business Partner – German Labor Law, Employee Relations

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise and support managers and senior leadership within a defined HR business area
- Support workforce planning, performance management, leadership, and organizational development
- Provide guidance on German labor law matters
- Manage complex individual and collective labor law issues, as well as individual personnel measures
- Build a trusting working relationship with the works council
- Prepare for and support discussions and negotiations
- Develop works council agreements
- Provide HR support for restructurings, reorganizations, and change and transformation projects
- Identify labor law and employee-related risks
- Develop pragmatic solutions with internal and external stakeholders
- Further develop and standardize HR and labor law processes
- Contribute to cross-functional HR projects and digitalization initiatives
- Advise managers and senior leadership on strategic and operational HR matters
- Support change processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in business administration, law, human resources management, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience as an HR Business Partner
- In-depth knowledge of German labor law
- Experience working and negotiating with works councils
- Experience handling complex labor law matters
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to translate legal and HR topics into pragmatic recommendations for action
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Structured and solution-oriented approach to work
- Ability to remain confident and composed in challenging situations
