About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead product development and thermal design activities for commercial refrigerator design
- Communicate and collaborate effectively within and outside the organization with vendors and suppliers
- Optimize designs using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Assembly (DFA) principles
- Perform engineering design using hand calculations and 1D/2D thermal modeling
- Troubleshoot using DFMEA and root cause analysis
- Design heat exchangers and refrigerant piping in refrigerators
- Optimize airflow and select fans
- Generate and present reports for design approval
- Draft and publish internal engineering standards and procedures
- Design, develop, and test thermodynamical and aeraulic systems using sustainable alternative construction criteria
Requirements
What you’ll need- Thermal / Mechanical Engineering degree: bachelor’s with 7+ years of experience or master’s with 5+ years of experience
- Competency with thermal/fluid flow design and analysis
- Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
- Hands-on engineering and thermal testing in conjunction with test engineers in lab
- Proficient in English
- MS Office skills
- CAD skills
