About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate, progress and resolve reconciliation breaks
- Liaise with Operational teams around the business to progress queries to rectification
- Complete monthly reconciliations on non-client money bank accounts
- Monitor various team email inboxes and deal with queries
- Load data to the reconciliation system
- Set up new accounts, perform general account maintenance and close bank accounts
- Complete client reporting tasks such as Client Returns, Forfeits and History Strips
- Complete tasks relating to daily client money reconciliations in adherence to FCA CASS regulations
- Support business-critical projects that have a reconciliation impact
Requirements
What you’ll need- Recent experience in a reconciliations, finance or accounting role
- Sound experience of investigating reconciliation breaks and progressing those breaks to resolution
- Ability to investigate both bank side breaks and internal system side breaks
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel to intermediate or advanced level
- Proven investigations skills with a proactive nature
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to prioritise and manage tasks efficiently, and work to SLAs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong team player with an enthusiastic attitude
- Drive to constantly learn and improve
