About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, structure and develop the EMEA Regional Procurement Management organisation
- Establish accountability, decision rights, role clarity, scalable ways of working, team goals, OKRs and performance expectations
- Develop and coach a high-performing team supporting portfolio growth and complexity
- Serve as senior procurement execution partner for EMEA Data Center Infrastructure
- Connect procurement priorities with capacity planning, construction delivery, engineering standards, financial commitments and commissioning
- Partner with Design, Construction, Engineering, Finance, Capacity Planning, Supply Chain, Legal, Operations and xScale leaders
- Drive alignment between regional execution requirements and global procurement, category management, supplier and supply chain priorities
- Act as escalation point for stakeholder misalignment, supplier performance, schedule-critical risks, inventory decisions and commercial trade-offs
- Own the regional procurement delivery operating model, including resource allocation, workload management, capacity, process simplification, governance and management information
- Provide updates on procurement execution, supplier readiness, portfolio risk, productivity, inventory exposure, cost forecasts and operational performance
- Implement AI-enabled procurement capabilities and processes
- Partner with Finance on budget discipline, committed-spend visibility, inventory valuation, storage-cost governance, cash-flow forecasting and cost optimisation
- Engage senior supplier stakeholders to resolve escalations, establish recovery plans and secure delivery outcomes
- Sponsor negotiations covering supplier performance, delivery schedules, commercial terms, logistics, storage, services and change management
- Own the EMEA RPM strategy, operating model and scalability roadmap
- Lead procurement simplification, centralisation and standardisation initiatives across EMEA
- Deliver cost-optimisation initiatives and identify savings and efficiency opportunities
- Lead supplier performance management, capacity planning, sourcing inputs, delivery readiness, scorecards, quality management and escalation resolution
- Identify and mitigate supplier risks, including capacity, quality, sourcing, financial, logistics, country-specific and market-demand risks
- Lead or sponsor supplier business reviews, corrective-action plans, executive escalations and recovery governance
- Ensure procurement documentation and contract governance support allocation, order tracking, inventory controls, asset tracking, financial reporting, auditability and enforceable commitments
- Own EMEA governance for pre-buy strategies, inventory, storage, asset allocation, deployment readiness, lifecycle tracking and redeployment decisions
- Lead decisions on capacity reservation, advance purchasing, inventory holding, asset release, equipment reallocation and procurement-plan changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience in procurement, supply chain, capital equipment, infrastructure, construction, engineering, industrial operations or mission-critical delivery preferred
- Experience leading people, including responsibility for managers, senior professionals or complex cross-functional teams
- A degree in engineering, supply chain, construction management, business, finance or a related discipline is preferred
- Direct experience in data centres, hyperscale cloud infrastructure, mission-critical facilities, utilities, power equipment, industrial infrastructure, manufacturing or an adjacent capital-intensive sector is strongly preferred
- Extensive experience in procurement, supply chain, capital equipment or infrastructure, with accountability for complex regional operations
- Strong knowledge of procurement strategy, supplier capacity planning, strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, inventory management and supplier performance
- Proven success implementing organisational transformation, operating-model improvements, process simplification, centralisation or standardisation in a high-growth environment
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience managing significant spend, inventory investments, forecasting, cost optimisation and portfolio-level trade-offs
- Experience developing scalable end-to-end supply chain solutions across planning, procurement, delivery, inventory management and asset lifecycle governance
- Working knowledge of data centre design, construction delivery, power and cooling infrastructure, project controls, commissioning dependencies and supplier delivery requirements
- Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, governance frameworks and supplier performance mechanisms
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams through complexity, growth and change
