About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide appropriate design solutions and verify architecture stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability
- Analyze, read, and review requirements
- Work with Business Analysts to understand business requirements
- Interact with product management to understand product requirements and define product roadmaps
- Participate in architectural review processes
- Define architecture and present it to product management teams
- Provide technical leadership for the design of multiple products
- Evaluate open-source, third-party, and off-the-shelf solutions to guide build-versus-buy decisions
- Participate in cross-technical integration and peer reviews
- Write code based on open-source and third-party packages
- Set testing standards and recommend testing frameworks
- Articulate and drive realization of on-premises and cloud infrastructure visions
- Provide executive updates aligned with vision, charter, and roadmap
- Participate in customer meetings regarding Cloud and DevOps vision
- Develop innovative solutions, processes, and best practices by leading internal technical teams
- Manage internal and external customer relationships and communication
- Participate in customer calls to understand issues and provide solutions
- Define and publish SLA metrics and compliance reports
- Ensure and enable ITIL compliance
- Serve as technical liaison for customer advisories, co-innovations, and incident management
- Define schedules across multiple projects with technical project managers and product management teams
- Provide overall project status reporting
- Manage and influence cross-functional release cycles
- Investigate, analyze, and evaluate new technologies
- Influence senior management on organizational technical objectives
- Track new developments and define necessary practice changes
- Impact future products, technologies, and business strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years experience
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Experience understanding, reading, and reviewing requirements
- Experience working with Business Analysts and product management teams
- Experience with software architecture and architectural review processes
- Experience providing technical leadership for multiple products
- Experience evaluating open-source, third-party, and off-the-shelf solutions
- Experience with coding, technical integration, and peer reviews
- Experience setting testing standards and recommending testing frameworks
- Experience with on-premises and cloud infrastructure
- Cloud and DevOps vision and automation expertise
- Experience with software reliability and support engineering
- Experience defining SLA metrics and compliance reports
- Knowledge of ITIL compliance
- Experience with technical project management and release cycles
- Experience investigating and evaluating new technologies
