About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work in a globally distributed development team on AI Inference open-source software
- Cultivate Equinix’s open-source presence and reputation in open-source organizations and standards bodies such as CNCF and the Linux Foundation
- Interact with stakeholders to understand and document product features
- Provide level-of-effort estimates for the product backlog
- Work with technical project managers and product management teams to define schedules
- Assist in analyzing and evaluating new technologies for product roadmap and technology platform goals
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies for product features and platforms
- Advocate and follow best design and development practices in accordance with engineering standards
- Prioritize and parallelize tasks and handle ad-hoc requests
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience or related experience designing and building highly redundant SDN network infrastructure
- Experience with L4/L7 proxying, HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, gRPC, SNI routing, mTLS, HAProxy, Envoy, NGINX, and API gateway proxy
- 5+ years of experience or related experience applying network and security principles within cloud infrastructure deployments
- Experience with SSH, TLS, IPSEC, WireGuard, IAM, VPCs, IaaS peering, and VPN solutions
- Deep understanding of OSI layers and their application
- Strong track record delivering resilient network systems and services
- Strong hands-on technical skills in complex network system design and implementation
- Familiarity with APIs and network automation, dashboarding, or monitoring solutions
- Programming proficiency in Go, Python, C/C++, or Rust
- DevOps mindset and experience improving CI/CD with GitHub Actions
- Ability to review DORA metrics and improve processes
