About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate working sessions with business leaders and forward-deployed engineers to examine current work flows, identify bottlenecks, handoffs, and rework, and define future flows
  • Combine Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, value stream thinking, process, and process mining to drive measurable gains in speed, quality, cost, and decision-making
  • Help business leaders design for decisions and outcomes, integrating AI, automation, and human judgment appropriately
  • Advise senior leaders on where AI applies and challenge designs that merely accelerate existing processes
  • Connect business leaders, the Digital and AI organization, and change efforts from opportunity identification through deployment and adoption
  • Promote ongoing visibility into redesigned process performance and detect drift early
  • Establish an enterprise approach to prioritizing, framing, and launching value stream redesigns
  • Develop Equinix management practices and operating systems based on continuous improvement principles
  • Build standards, templates, routines, and other tools with partners
  • Partner with HR to align practices with leadership expectations, language, learning, and capability pathways
  • Coach selected organizational areas on operating systems and process redesign
  • Decide what practices are standardized enterprise-wide versus flexible by region or function
  • Embed process excellence disciplines at scale and build communities of practice in process redesign and AI-enabled improvement
  • Assess practice maturity, establish feedback loops, and refine the system based on adoption and effectiveness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12–15+ years leading enterprise-level operational excellence, process excellence, or large-scale change in complex, global organizations
  • Fluency in Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, and value stream methods
  • Ability to apply process excellence methods to redesign end-to-end work flows
  • Working knowledge of AI, analytics, automation, and digital platforms
  • Ability to translate technology capabilities into business outcomes
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Credibility working with senior leaders and executives
  • Experience developing management practices and tools built on lean principles and helping an organization adopt them at scale
  • Deep understanding of organizational behavior and changing habits and shared language
  • Comfort building without an established playbook and balancing structure with pragmatism
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience with process or task mining preferred
  • Experience partnering with HR on capability programs preferred
  • Experience in technology, services, or infrastructure environments preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma, change management, or comparable certification preferred
