About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and own a multi-channel strategy for a global, hybrid workforce
  • Evaluate and implement AI-enabled content and channel tools, including usage guardrails
  • Set the roadmap, governance, workflows, cadence, and standards for Equinix’s internal channel ecosystem
  • Design the operating model for the internal content engine and oversee content prioritization and production standards
  • Own annual and quarterly content plans aligned with company strategy and executive priorities
  • Partner with business, HR, and executive stakeholders to create employee-facing content
  • Own content-production resourcing, team capacity, agency and freelance support, budget, and tooling
  • Lead high-stakes communications during reorganizations, incidents, and leadership changes
  • Own broadcast email strategy and administration using Poppulo or similar platforms
  • Own intranet information architecture, homepage strategy, content standards, and platform roadmap
  • Partner on digital signage network strategy and standards
  • Own Viva Engage strategy, moderation, community structure, and employee participation
  • Manage channel platform vendor relationships, contracts, budgets, and best practices
  • Own internal visual brand, templates, design standards, and tone of voice
  • Establish accessibility, localization, and multilingual content standards
  • Define KPIs and report channel and content performance to leadership
  • Partner with HR and People Analytics on surveys and channel feedback
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Manager, Content & Channels and wider team
  • Own team design, capability, capacity, hiring, performance objectives, and development
  • Build and manage regional and functional communications contributors
  • Foster a creative, disciplined, reliable, and wellbeing-conscious team culture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7–10 years of communications experience, including internal/employee communications, content strategy, or channel management
  • Experience managing broadcast email platforms (Poppulo or similar), intranets, and enterprise social/collaboration tools (Viva Engage or similar)
  • Knowledge and experience integrating AI into a content and channels approach
  • Proven experience building or scaling a content function, with strong editorial judgment and an eye for visual quality
  • People management experience, including managing a manager and leading a team indirectly, with a track record of developing others
  • Experience owning team capacity, budget, and vendor or agency relationships
  • Strong grasp of internal brand and tone of voice, with the ability to build and enforce guidelines across a large organization
  • Data-informed approach to channel and content decisions, comfortable working with engagement metrics and reporting to a senior audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strategic mindset paired with a bias for action, equally comfortable setting a roadmap and getting hands-on with execution
